Hard Disk Drive : A Hard Disk Drive is a Storage Device that you Can Store (Save) digital Information in the form of soft copy and you can retrieve them at later. Hard Disk Consist of Platters that rapidly rotating beneath Heads. Platters are magnetic materials. A Hard disk has the ability of retaining data even when powered off.
There were Types of HDD
SATA: Serials ATA and PATA: Parallels ATA
PATA : These harddrives were used in old PC (Personel Computeres)
SATA : These hard drives is used in the latest Computers, and have fast speed like 7200 rpm (rounds per minute)
Beside These TWO Big Types
Also HDD is Availbe in the Following Types.
1. Solid State HDD (SSD): These drives are like a memory Stick.
There are no moving parts like SATA and PATA Drives that discussed above. The Data is stored on chip.
2. External USB HDD : These drives are portable devices and very easy to use. Just plug in usb port or wirelessly and use.
These type of drives also used for backup computers or for network.
3.Solid State Hybrid Drives :
These Drives has Cache and Blend The Hard Drives Capacity with SSD Speed.
